Delegate titles and requirements

Teen Division

Be 14-18 years of age as of August 1, 2026.
Be unmarried and not legally married at any time.
Not be pregnant and not have given birth.
Be enrolled in high school or have graduated with a minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)

Miss Division

Be 19-29 years of age as of August 1, 2026.
Be unmarried and not legally married at any time.
Not be pregnant and not have given birth.

Ms. Division

Be 30-50 years of age, or 19-50 if divorced, widowed, or a parent.
Not be currently married.
Parenthood is permitted.

Mrs. Division

Be 21-60 years of age as of August 1,2026
Be legally married at the time of participation (documentation required).
Parenthood is NOT required.

Things to know..

For all divisions, you:

Must identify as female and provide documentation as required by MBIA Carolinas.
Identify as being of Black/African descent.
Demonstrate good character, leadership potential, and alignment with the MBIA Carolinas mission.
Be in sufficient physical, emotional, and mental health to fulfill program responsibilities.
Be able to meet time, travel, appearance, and participation obligations.

Though you may meet eligibility requirements, it does not guarantee acceptance.

All application fees are non refundable.

MBIA Carolinas reserves the right to verify all eligibility and request documentation.

The program participation fee* supports virtual/in person leadership and professional development training, Pageant Week programming, accomodations, meals during the official inaugural weekend, production and administrative expenses and official contestant materials including sash, crown, and opening number attire.

This fee is not a sponsorship or charitable donation and is not tax-deductible.

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that the total investment for the MBIA Carolinas pageant, "Her Knowledge of Becoming" premiere is $995. I understand that this is an all-inclusive package coveringthe MBIA State Sash and Crown, "Queenology" Master Workbook, professional headshots, academy tuition, retreat meals, and full stage production media. I also understand that the $50 application fee is non refundable.

Financial Investment Acknowledgement II

I have read and agree to the financial commitment

Deposit: I understand that a non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to secure my title and position among the Inaugural 72 seven days after the interviewing process and acceptance.

Payment schedule: I agree to adhere to the payment installment plan as outlined in the Delegate Handbook.

Refund policy: I acknowledge that all fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable, as these funds are immediately allocated to production and training costs.

As an applicant of MBIA Carolinas, I commit to upholding the prestige of the MBIA brand. I agree to:

Digital integrity: Maintain a positive and professional social media presence.

Professionalism: Arrive punctually to all virtual academy sessions and the in person state retreat/pageant.

Conflict Resolution: Address any concerns directly with the State Director in a professional, private manner rather than on public forums.

Grounds for Removal: MBIA Carolinas reserves the right to revoke.

Release of Liability and Media Authorization

Media Release: I hearby grant MBIA Carolinas and its legal representatives the irrevocable right to use my name, likeness, image, and voice in all forms of media (including photography and video) for advertising, trade, and any other lawful purposes.

Liability Waiver: I agree to release and hold harmless MBIA Carolinas, the MBIA program, the Embassy Suites Convention Center, and all staff/volunteers from any claims of personal injury, property damage, or loss occurring during
